My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Anya and Tybalt, bonded pair fostered in Lodi

ANYA, a 2-3 year old Female Chocolate Point Siamese and
TYBALT, a 3-5 year old Male Seal point Siamese
The bonded pair is fostered in Lodi, CA

Anya and the love of her life Tybalt recently came back into rescue through no fault of their own. Tybalt and Anya have know each other for years through the bars of separate cages in a breeders house but never interacted on a friendly basis. Upon arriving in rescue, he was neutered and she was spayed, she started becoming much more loving and he lost his tough guy attitude and has mellowed out (a lot). They now roam their foster moms house together and have fallen madly in love with each other. They are often found curled up together sleeping, they also groom each other and love to play chase. They make such a cute pair, she being the fair haired petite beauty and he being tall, dark and handsome. These two have bonded and must be adopted together.

Anya is a feather-light Siamese princess, weighing only 5 pounds. A chocolate point, she has medium brown markings on her face, ears, paws, and tail, and luminous blue eyes. The effect of her sylphlike figure and soft coloration is one of extreme delicacy, and when she came to us after her breeder died, her initial shyness concerned us. Having lived in a show cage in a garage for the first two or three years of her life, she at first wouldn’t even eat with the light on! But in the comforts of a home, our vulnerable Anya has quickly transformed into a little lovebug who plays like a kitten and loves to be stroked. She especially enjoys being scratched on her lower back, near the tail, and will lift her bottom so high she actually does a somersault.

We expect to have many applicants for this exquisite girl and will be cautious in making a placement. Given the deprivations of her early years, the fact that she has blossomed so quickly, is so receptive to love from humans and other creatures, makes us deeply committed to assuring her a new life where she will be cherished as she deserves to be. No dogs or small children please. While in rescue, Anya has had a medical examination, a spay operation, a dental cleaning, and testing to ensure that she is negative for FIV and FeLV. Anya and Ty are fostered in Lodi and are ready for a loving home of their own with gentle people.

Tybalt (Ty) and the love of his life Anya recently came back into rescue through no fault of their own. Upon arriving in rescue, he was neutered and she was spayed, she started becoming much more loving and he lost his tough guy attitude and has mellowed out (a lot). Here's more about Ty: Do you find yourself drawn to the dark, romantic, dangerous type? Tybalt is a splendid purebred Siamese who came to us with a group of others when their breeder died. If the word “Siamese” brings to your mind the medium-sized, pointed cats you used to see on your block when you were growing up, this is a cat of a different color.
At 10 pounds, he is long and athletic, with the high color contrast, brilliant blue eyes, and wedge-shaped face of the show Siamese. Indications are that he spent the first several years of his life in a cage with only perfunctory handling, but in foster care he is eager to explore and to follow his foster mom around like a puppy, all the while commenting, as Siamese do, on his discoveries. (This is to say, he is a Siamese of the vocal type.) After several weeks of life in a home situation, he has started to enjoy a good chin or ear scratch but is still wary of his new environment: he won’t scratch or bite but will probably not be ready for lap time for a while. We have all had cats who started out like this and relaxed only after three or six months at home--after which these cats are often among the most attached to their pet humans!
In rescue Tybalt has had a dental cleaning, been neutered, vaccinated, and implanted with a microchip. He is healthy and ready to be a memorable companion to a single adult, a couple, or a family without young children. Tybalt and Anya are fostered in Lodi and are ready for a loving home of their own with gentle people.
