William's Story...
Hello my name is Wiliam and I am a 76-lb., 10 year old yellow male. I am one happy dog! Don’t let my age fool you! I still have the puppy in me so I like to play ball. I am not so good at the retrieving part but my foster parents have been showing me and I have gotten a LOT better. What I really love is following you around and having a nice cuddle, I am sweet and good with kids and other dogs. Not so much with cats. I have a little arthritis but I am getting a glucosamine pill every day. That helps a lot! They are easy to get at Costco and a big bottle lasts me a long time. Lets see…. What else? Oh, have I mentioned that I’m a love bug? I also like short walks and do pretty well on a leash. I would love to find my forever home where I can lavish affection on my family and receive lots of love in return.
I’m a great dog and have been a great companion to my foster mom and foster family. I have brought them a lot of joy. If you think I’m a nice companion to your family in my senior years, please contact your SCLRR Family Representative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

William, a Torrance Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Torrance, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Torrance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrance paves the way for another one to be saved.
