Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rudy is approximately 2 1/2 years old, a beautiful redbone coonhound about 55 lbs.. Best placement for Rudy would be with an individual or family that doesn't expect returned affection from a dog.. Rudy is more of a loner and isn't a dog to seek attention or cuddle with. Should live well with another pet which likes and seeks attention from humans..Rudy would be satisfied letting the other dog get all the interaction attention from humans.
Rudy was originally placed with a family who took great care of him. Rudy is active and needs a large fenced yard. Wireless fencing won't work for him. Friendly, happy hound.. LOVES to sniff / track (typical). Good with other dogs & friendly with children older than 12 yrs. Don't expect him to play ball with kids...thats not Rudy. Too questionable with small youngsters who poke and want to play with him.
Needs confident adopter who can continue to work with Rudy on walking on lead. Can be strong. Halti collar does help. Calm quiet boy inside. Relatively quiet outside unless he finds a critter he wants to chase (typical). He is a nice undemanding dog. Housebroke and crate trained.
Adoption fee includes: neuter, vaccines, deworming & has been on monthly heartworm prevention. Adoption fee $130.
