This handsome and happy boy is Sam, a lab/pit mix that came to us from down south in search of a wonderful new home. Poor Sam was just skin and bones when he first came in. This sweet and gentle boy was so glad to be getting good meals, a comfy bed to curl up in, and the medical care that he needed. Sam is heartworm positive, but we have already started his treatment so he should be perfectly fine real soon. Sam is an adult, most likely between 6 and 8 years of age, so he is very well behaved. He enjoys taking leisurely strolls with his many new friends, and loves just checking things out. When Sam is in our giant exercise yard, he prefers to hop up on the bench and sit beside you, rather than running and playing. Sam absolutely loves people and is very easy going and pleasant with everyone he meets. He would do well in any good home with a family that promises to love him always.
