Saber's Story...
Hi there! My name is Saber. Don’t you think I look like a cougar or a tiger? Rowr! Don’t worry though, I’m really a sweet, friendly gal. I had a nice home that I shared with my girlfriend, Daquiri, but our person moved into a place that wouldn’t take cats, so now both Daquiri and I are at MaxFund.

I’m a big, beautiful orange girl, with a very unusual black nose and black-rimmed eyes. The folks here at MaxFund think it looks like I’m wearing makeup. I enjoy attention, brushing and playing with toys. I find lasers to be especially exciting. My person said I’m well behaved around children, I get along well with other cats, and I might even be ok with nice dogs.

While it would be nice to go to a new home with my BFF, Daquiri, we can also be adopted separately. I’d really enjoy a nice napping place in the sunshine, a lap of my own, and maybe some snacks now and then. I’m not asking for much, just a special someone to take me to my forever home. Is that special someone you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Saber, a Denver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Denver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
