Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Kuna, ID
Leo is our number one fluff ball, kissy face, lap loving Pomeranian mix.
At around 3 years old he found himself homeless and scared ½ to death. Fuzzy Pawz Rescue stepped up to the plate and placed him in a loving foster home that helped Leo remember that people are sweet and give him good things to eat.
Leo is still a bit nervous around new people at first and will shy away the first time you try to pet him. But give him 10 minutes or so and he begins to warm up; give him 24 hours and he is your best friend for life. Once he knows you are his friend, he becomes a little love bug. He will jump on your lap and sneak kisses when you are least expecting it. He also loves being where you are and will follow you around the house to see what you’re up to. But he is not a needy little dog and does like his quiet time by himself, but when he wants a tummy rub he will let you know.
Leo would be great in a quiet home with older children (15+) or even better in a home where someone is around a lot. He needs to be in a home where he is allowed on the furniture as his favorite spot is lying on the back of the couch where he can see everything that is going on. Leo is great in the car and loves going for rides. He gets excited at first, but will calm down and just lay in his seat.
This cutie is good with the cat in his foster home and is good with other dogs. Leo recently went to a Fuzzy Pawz event at H3 Pet Foods and did really well with all the other dogs there and did pretty good with all the people!
Leo is not completely potty trained. He will go outside if you take him, but he does not have a cue to let you know when he needs to go out. This is easy to fix by putting him on a feeding and potty schedule. He would also adapt to a dog door really quickly.
Leo will make a great forever companion. He has so much love to give and is just waiting for a family that will love him, give him confidence, and help him become the best he can be.
He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped.
If you can offer this sweet boy a place on your couch and a place in your heart then please go to www.fuzzypawzrescue.com, fill out the pre adoption application and we will contact you about him.
