Need chocolate? If so, try this sweet girl Chocolate Lab mix! Tara, a natural retriever, weighs under 60 pounds at 2-1/2 years of age. She is very smart, learning to sit and kennel immediately after her rescue from the Garland Animal Shelter. Tara also knows sit and down commands. She is leash and crate trained, housebroke, up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm free, and microchipped. Tara loves to run, chase and tussle with her foster friends. She will need a yard with a tall, secure fence to keep her safe. Small children may have a challenge with Tara's high energy level; therefore, she will do best with a companion dog or active owners. Is your family the right match for this sweet chocolate?

Anyone interested in our dogs must be over 21. We are only able to adopt to homes within a reasonable driving distance of the dog's foster home and please be prepared for a home visit by one of our volunteers. We do not adopt on first-come-first-served basis, we want to make sure the dog is right for the family and vice versa based on what we know about the dog's personality, habits and behaviors.
