My story

Hello! My name is Lucy Laura and I am a 7-8 yr. old, beautiful beagle girl that was found as a stray and brought to a shelter in North Carolina. Penny Angels rescued me and brought me to NJ so that I would have a better chance at finding another place to live. The people in Rescue think that I was just used as a breeding dog and was dumped when I was no longer needed. Despite my past experiences, I am a very sweet girl, though I am still a little on the shy side because I have not had much socialization. I get along well with the other dogs in Rescue and seem okay with cats, though I’m not too sure how I am around small children.

I weigh about 27 lbs. and like to lay on the couch most of the day. I am housetrained and have learned how to use a doggie door. I like it here with the other beagles, but I really want to find a special home to call my own.
