Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE... Blaze was adopted December 2013 but now is returned because adopters lost their job and have lost their home. Blaze is in temporary foster care until he will be at our main Location Green Cove Springs, Fl.
Blaze is a Black and Tan Sweet German Shepherd Dog. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations. Blaze was Rescued just in time, his final day was in a high kill shelter and we stepped in to save his life. We are thankful to all of our volunteers that helped with Blaze’s Rescue. Blaze was originally brought into the Shelter as a stray dog so we do not have any history on him. He is heartworm positive and we are treating him via our slow kill process. We will provide all medications and explain dosage and our treatment plan to the new adopter.
Since Blaze has been in Foster care, he gets along great with all dogs, bigger dogs are better for him to play with and more submissive ones. He tends to get amped up with play and barks loud, I have to settle him down and then he is okay. He loves attention, is quiet in the home, loves laying on a dog bed with a bone or on the sofa with anybody that wants to cuddle with him. He is super smart and very attentive. Walks great on a leash and wants to please, he also Loves to play with the Water Hose! Speaking of water, he can be a little over protective with water or his food bowel around the other dogs this is most likely picked up behavior while he was at high kill shelter, and I have to remind him to stop and calm down then he is fine. He is crate trained and is a sweetheart of a Shep. He loves company and has no problem meeting new people.
If you are interested in Adopting Blaze please email me direct on luvgermansheps@yahoo.com or submit an online application via our website www.k-9services.net go to Adoption Application page.
An application needs to be completed prior to arranging a meet and greet.
All dogs in rescue are temperament tested and have basic obedience implemented as a part of their daily routine. All behavioral issues are dealt with according to each case scenario. All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, spayed and or neutered. Application, home-check, and references must be approved prior to final adoption.
