My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fae! She is a "special needs" girl. She is a red stagg miniature pinscher. She is 9 years old and has been with our rescue for 2 years. Prior to that, she was severely neglected. We are working on pinpointing some allergies but other than that she is now healthy. She has had a full medical workup, blood panel and a dental cleaning done, and is up to date on her shots.

Fae is very sweet when she is in a quiet/structured environment, but she has memory of her past which causes her to revert to fear responses under stress (like adoption events or the vet's office). She also thinks peeing inside the house occasionally is a compliment to us - so she sometimes wears colorful diapers if she's left alone for long periods (she always poops outside though).

She is crate trained, fine with other dogs (her housemates are dobies and min pins), isn't a barker and would make the right person a wonderful companion in the right home. She is not recommended for a high traffic/energy charged home or one with children.

If after reading this description of sweet Fae, your are interested in adopting or fostering her, please go to our website at www.adoptmerescue.org and fill out our adoption application. You can also contact us at this website for more information.
