More Fur Dog Rescue

MFDR is a foster-based dog rescue operating out of foster homes in Radford, Blacksburg, and surrounding communities in Southwestern Virginia. We're mainly asked to take on surrendered medical cases from local veterinary clinics, but also strive to provide aide to kill-shelters and other unwanted pets in our community. As you could guess, we're always in need of donations, fundraising, and other financial help, due to the medical status of most of our dogs. ______________ MFDR's mission is to 1) take in needy dogs; 2) provide all appropriate medical care; 3) show them love and foundation in their foster homes; and then 4) find every single one of them their perfect and forever homes. ​ ______________ ​ MFDR was founded in 2020 by a local veterinarian. Starting a rescue was always the dream; but after starting as an ER veterinarian in 2019, and having 4 medical cases surrendered (to pay for, medically treat, and then rehome) in the first year alone, MFDR became a necessity.
