Rescue FAQs

Sammy's Strays is a small rescue group in Northern Westchester County NY. We are a 501c3 non-profit. We rescue animals in need -- locally and from down South -- and find them loving homes. We are 100% foster based, relying on the care and kindness of our foster homes to keep us going. Our rescue dogs and cats live in loving foster homes until they are adopted. We cover all necessary medical expenses until the date of adoption. All dogs/cats are spayed/neutered (if age appropriate); receive age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, heart worm prevention preventative, flea/tick prevention and a microchip.
Our adoption radius is 90 miles from Mid-Westchester County NY.
