Additional adoption info

Adoptable dogs are posted on our website, Facebook page, and Instagram. If you are interested in adopting a particular pet or submitting a general request the first step is to complete an online adoption application. If you do not hear from us within 48 hours it simply means we received a high volume of applications for that animal, or you did not email us the corresponding pictures needed to complete the application. The application process is at no charge to you and only needs to be completed once. Applications will be kept on file.

Applications will be reviewed as received. If in our opinion a pet is a good candidate for you, an adoption coordinator will contact you by email and discuss the next steps in the adoption process.

All dogs are located in Texas and will only be transported to out-of-state residents once a deposit has been made and the application has been approved.

If you have any questions, concerns, or need additional information on adopting or surrendering a pet we can be reached by email at Barkforchangerescue.com and all emails will receive a response.
