Shelter FAQs

The Widdle Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization assisting to the needs of less fortunate animals in Central Texas through emergency and long-term funding and services. The mission of The Widdle Foundation is to provide for animals in need of funding, rescue, shelter, as well as raise awareness through education. Our primary focus, at this time, is on dogs; however, as the Foundation grows, we hope to provide for the rescue, rehabilitation, sanctuary and re-homing of unwanted, neglected, and/or abused animals – which may include other domestic and farm animals, not only dogs. The Widdle Foundation, Inc. provides education to the general public about the care and training of dogs and awareness services about specific illnesses and diseases found in pets and other animals. The awareness program is to help prevent unnecessary deaths by promoting research and assisting with veterinary expenses.
