Rescue FAQs
Border Collie Save and Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable dog rescue dedicated to rescuing, rehabbing, and re-homing Border Collies and Border Collie mixes taken in throughout Central and North Texas from toxic and/or desperate situations. These Border Collies are placed into foster homes where they have all of their medical needs tended to, are spayed/neutered, are provided with any needed physical and mental rehabilitation, are started on some basic training, and are provided with a loving & save place to live. Finally, we place them with appropriate and vetted adopters who fully meet the needs of the each individual dog.
US (predominately TX but we adopt out of state as well)
Adoption steps

- Home CheckVirtual home visit and vet or personal reference check
- Approve ApplicationDiscuss interested dogs with foster and coordinate visit
- Meet the PetDiscuss interested dogs with foster and coordinate visit
- Sign Adoption ContractComplete adoption or foster to adopt paperwork before taking the dog home
