My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tavais is a sweet, affectionate girl with beautiful blue eyes and a heart full of love!

She adores her humans and thrives on attention — she’ll even gently pull your hand toward her for pets or a hug.

She’s potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained, though she might pull a bit when she spots birds or cats. Playful and energetic, Tavais loves to run, explore, and be part of the action.

Tavais does well with older kids (teens and up), but she’s not comfortable around babies or very young children. She has lived with a few family dogs, but since she wasn’t exposed to many new animals until recently, she’s still learning to stay calm around other dogs and pets. With continued guidance and positive training, she’ll keep growing in confidence and manners.

Smart and eager to please, Tavais already knows commands like “sit,” “let’s go,” “give me paw,” and even “give me hug.”

Loyal, loving, and full of personality, Tavais will reward your love with endless affection and devotion.

More about this rescue

Hi, I am the founder of Waiting Under the Willow Foundation, also known as W.U.W.F. We work hard at trying to find homes for dogs that are homeless or scheduled to be euthanized at Harris County Animal Shelter. There are so many dog out there that are so loving and deserving of a good home. My hopes is that more people will open their hearts and homes to some of these sweet dogs❤️. Rescue dogs make the best pets!!!
