A 645 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550 shelter helping to find loving homes for dogs, cats, rabbits, small animals, birds.
1 - 5 of 5 Adoptable Pets at This Shelter
We are a municipal shelter for the Town of Newburgh. We do not take privately owned animals. All of our animals for adoption have either been picked up off our streets, found injured, or have been seized due to investigations of cruelty.
We are a municipal animal shelter. We enforce the Town of Newburgh Dog Control Ordinance, State Laws, investigate cruelty cases and rescue any animal in need, whether it be a domestic animal or wild animal.
Our adoption fee for both cats and dogs are $75. We do offer a Senior for Senior program which means our Seniors can adopt our older dogs (over the age of 7) for NO FEE.
The dogs that are available at our shelter are dogs that have been either abandoned or have been running in our Town and not claimed by owner.
Our available dogs are spayed/neutered, receive all vaccinations, are tested for heartworm and lyme disease,
Felines that are available for adoption are kitties that have been either abandoned at our door or have been found injured or seized. Cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, given age appropriate vaccines and dewormed.
Our animal shelter is located at 645 Gidney Avenue. We are located near the NYS Thruway, Rts. 9W, 32 and 300.
You can pick up an adoption application directly from our shelter or email and we will be glad to email one to you.
Shelter hours are Monday - Saturday 9am-5pm. Shelter is closed on Sundays.
