Rescue FAQs

Candy's Cats is a group of like-minded people from various walks of life who share the common passion for the welfare of abandoned, unwanted kittens and cats. Aware of the statistics in our community of kittens and cats that are turned into shelters and are euthanized, we are doing what we can to reduce those statistics by rescuing, fostering, altering and adopting our feline treasures. Volunteers for stores must be 18 and have their own transportation.

Additional adoption info

A Petfinder/Adopt-A-Pet inquiry does not replace a submission of an screening form. Please go to www.candyscats.org/forms to fill our Screening Form to be considered to adopt a cat from us.

In order to adopt, you must be over 21.
Renters must provide landlord/management telephone number or a lease showing that a pet deposit has been paid for the cat(s) you are considering to adopt.
There will be a home inspection at our discretion.
We ask that if you have small children or are married or have a significant other, please bring them with you so we can see how they interact with the cat(s).
YOU MUST BRING A PET CARRIER WITH YOU IN ORDER TO TAKE YOUR CAT HOME. No cat will be taken from the premises without a carrier.
