Shelter FAQs

In Jackson County, Alabama last year, approximately 2,000 innocent homeless and abandoned pets were killed last year. Safe Haven was formed to give these beautiful, loving animals a second chance.
Safe Haven is a no-kill rescue/shelter organization that operates out of Jackson County, Alabama, and serves all of the cities in the northeast Alabama area, as well as southern Tennessee. We rescue from the local municipal shelter, where the animals are euthanized weekly, and save these animals until we find them a good, "forever" home. When you adopt from Safe Haven, you truly Save a Life!!
