East Contra Costa County Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization (H.A.L.O.)'s Adoption Process
All of H.A.L.O.'s dogs and cats available for adoptions have been spayed or neutered and up to date on their vaccinations.
All the animals are microchipp
Dogs and cats receive a complete check by a veterinarian.
The tax deductible donation which helps pay for the care of these animals prior to adoption is:
Cats/Kittens: $125.00
Dogs/Puppies: $125.00 to $300.00

About East Contra Costa County Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization (H.A.L.O.)
H.A.L.O. is the East Contra Costa County Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization, better known as H.A.L.O. We are a nonprofit, all volunteer, 501c(3) charitable organization who assists dogs, cats and their owners in Eastern Contra Costa County.
We rescue approximatly 500 animals a year, all by volunteers, all in our homes and in our hearts.
We are not a shelter,
We have grant funds for the spaying and neutering of East County ferals and food for them if needed.
We have a program called "Angel Ears" where certified dogs and their trainers go to the local libraries and the children read to the dogs. This has proven a very effective way to increase reading skills rapidly. We also take the dogs to senior facilities.
We are in need of volunteer in many capacities.

Our cats, kittens dogs and puppies can be viewed at the following locations and hours:
Cats and Kittens - PET FOOD EXPRESS, Lone Tree Way, in Slatten Ranch Shopping Center, Antioch. Saturdays and Sundays 12:00 noon - 3:00 P.M.
Cats and Kittens- Pet Food Express. Lone Tree Way, Brentwood. Saturdays and Sundays noon to 3 pr. Some Fridays 4 to 7 pm
Dogs and Puppies - PETCO, 5482 Lone Tree Way, Brentwood,
Saturdays 12:00 noon - 3:00 P.M.
4th Sunday of each month
Dogs and Puppies - PET FOOD EXPRESS, Lone Tree Way, in Slatten Ranch Shopping Center, Antioch.
Second Sunday of each month 12:00 noon - 3:00 P.M.
We do not allow adoptions out of our local area or as gifts.
