H.A.L.O. is the East Contra Costa County Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization, better known as H.A.L.O. We are a nonprofit, all volunteer, 501c(3) charitable organization who assists cats and their owners in Eastern Contra Costa County.
We rescue approximately 300+ animals a year, all by volunteers, all in our homes and in our hearts.
▪️We are not a shelter,
▪️We have a program called "Angel Ears" where certified dogs and their trainers go to the local libraries and the children read to the dogs. This has proven a very effective way to increase reading skills rapidly. We also take the dogs to senior facilities.
▪️We are in need of volunteer in many capacities.

Additional adoption info
All of HALO's cats are available for adoptions have been microchipped, spayed or neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations, given flea medication and dewormer.
Cats receive a complete check by a veterinarian.
