We are Blackjack Animal Rescue. We rescue catahoulas, catahoula mixes and other mixed breed dogs and cats in the East TN, Cicero IN and Charlotte NC area.
We rescue pets facing euthanization in shelters in the South.
We do it because we are called and equipped to do this work and cannot do otherwise.

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Please submit an adoption application athttps://www.blackjackrescue.org/adoption-application.
- Interview
- We review the adoption application and will call applicant with follow-up questions and concerns. We take the time and answer questions.
- Home Check
- We then schedule a home visit. If local most of the time this is also a meet and greet with the animal you applied for as well.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- If everything goes well an adoption contract is signed and the adoption fee is paid. Then the pet is yours.
Additional adoption info
Adoption application, vet and personal reference check, home visit. Fees vary depending on the pet, dog or cat, etc. Adoption contract is signed and we except our adopters to honor it.
