North Texas Cat Rescue's Adoption Process

Our adoption fee is $ 140.00.

Adoption Policy:

We will not hold a cat or kitten.

All adoptions are first come first serve except when there may be multiple requests for one animal. In the event of multiple requests, we will take your application and make a decision based on the needs of the cat/kitten and the best fit with the potential adopter.

Adopters must:

Be at least 21 years old
Show that they can have an animal in their home if they rent. ( copy of pet deposit required)
Agree to keep cat/kitten indoors

All inquiries made by phone and/or email will be responded to within 2 business days. Our volunteers are trying very hard to get back in touch with every potential adopter. .Thank you for your understanding.

Please note: At this time, NTCR cannot take any surrendered cats or kittens into our system. If you have a need to surrender any cats or kittens please contact the Collin County Animal Shelter.

NTCR places the cats/kittens in foster care for re-socializing, regularly holding adoption events at Petsmart in Allen.
We also manage the permanent adoption center, Luv-A-Pet, in Allen

The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $140.00 each. All of our kittens and adults have tested negative for FelV and FIV, have all appropriate immunizations for their age, have been spayed/neutered, wormed and deflead and are microchipped

About North Texas Cat Rescue

North Texas Cat Rescue (NTCR) is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to the humane and compassionate treatment of cats.

Our Mission:

To provide adoption and placement of homeless rescued cats/kittens in permanent homes.
To educate the public on the need to spay/neuter pets, on the prevention of animal cruelty and promote responsible pet ownership.

NTCR Programs

Foster care and adoption programs

NTCR takes in cats/kittens from Collin County Animal Shelter, rescues abandoned felines from other locations and cats surrendered by owners to the extent of our resources and of foster home availability. NTCR places the cats/kittens in foster care for re-socializing, regularly running adoption days at Petsmart in Allen and managing the permanent adoption center, Luv-A-Pet , inside Petsmart in Allen. We also post our adoptable cats on Petfinder.com, Adopt-a-pet.com. Facebook and on our website.

Working with Animal Shelter Services

NTCR works primarily with Collin CountyAnimal Shelter Services. We appreciate their hard work. To the extent of our resources, we do our best to take in our system cats/kittens that are injured , too young to survive on their own, pregnant/nursing mother cats etc… foster them, vet them and place them through our adoption program in loving permanent home.
Spay/neuter public education

We firmly believe in educating and assisting the public about the need to spay/neuter their pets. NTCR works with Texas Coalition for Animal Protection to assist those in need of finding a low cost clinic and a low cost source for spay/neuter. We hope, in the future, to help low-income and fixed income families have their pets fixed at no charge .
