We have adoption fee's for each horse. We also have a 4 page adoption agreement that the adopter signs and abides by.
We do home checks and check references.

About Safe Haven Horse Rescue & Sanctuary
We are a 501 c3 non profit horse rescue and Sanctuary. We are volunteer based and donation supported. All the money that comes into Safe Haven goes to the care of the horse's. Safe Haven does Not have any paid employee's. We are all volunteer's.
We take in abused, unwanted and retired horse's from all ages and breeds. We take in horse's that people can no longer care for, because of many reason's, moving and can't take, lost their job and can afford to take care of, death in the family, no more interest in horse's, kids have lost interest.
We are here for the love and care of horse's no matter the reason. If they have a good quality of life, than they derserve to live that life.
We have a horse sponsorship program, a foster program and horse adoption.
We also have horsemanship riding lessons. We teach what you need to know to love and care for horse's and also how to ride and enjoy your horse.
We do all this for the love of the horse, we are here for the needs of the horse. They need to have someone love them and care for them when other's can't.
We bring back the very underweight and sick back to good health and weight. And place them in loving, caring adoptive homes.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
