Cats Unlimited

Started in 1999 to help the large number of homeless cats in Grand Bend, Ontario. We have since expanded to serve several counties, and have taken cats in from Wiarton, Hanover, K-W, Listowel, Simcoe, and surrounding areas. All cats are kept in the founder's home and treated as pets. They are not caged. We believe that there is a potential "match" for every cat, although all cats in our care will remain with us for as long as necessary (some forever). We also help people whose cats may have behaviour issues, as we would prefer to see them stay with their human family rather than relinquished to a shelter or rescue group. We are also great believers in holistic remedies and appropriate cat nutrition

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process involves an interview with the prospective adoptor. This can start via email, but generally also requires personal contact, such as a phone conversation. An appointment is then arranged to come and meet the cats. We have a signed contract. We do not allow our cats to be declawed (for any reason), and require that if the adoption doesn't work out, for any reason, that the cat be returned to our care. Our adoption fee is $125, which includes vaccinations, and spay/neuter.
