Rescue FAQs

NWIPR is a WA 501c3 Non-Profit Corporation and Charity. We are comprised of a loving group of pet owners who have a passion for saving pets in need. We believe all pets deserve a loving and caring home to call their own. We work with adopters throughout the adoption process. We are here for you; to help you with any problems that may arise with your newly added family member. We want you as an adopter to feel supported before, during, and after the adoption.

NWIPR is a volunteer run organization. We are ALL volunteers working together in the interest of the animals. We specialize with small to medium size dogs and work mostly with local shelters, other dog rescue organizations and individuals, to help these wonderful and deserving pets.
We adopt our dogs out to many, many locations. As long as the adopter is willing to travel with their family and current pet (if any) to meet the dog you are able to potentially adopt the dog if you are a match for that dog.

Additional adoption info

NWIPR's adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a vet check, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract. New adopters will receive a FREE exam coupon at a local veterinary clinic in Lynnwood (so be sure to ask about this coupon if you are interested).

Northwest International Pet Rescue is the pet's advocate and will select the most suitably matched home for the dog's general and unique needs, therefore adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis. We reserve the right to refuse service and adoption for any reason.

Your adoption donation is used to care for the many pets that enter into rescue. All pets leave rescue vaccinated, sterilized, microchipped, and medically checked out. In some cases they receive dentals, ear flush, various surgeries, etc. to ensure that they are healthy and ready for adoption. Your adoption donation is very much appreciated and needed to help care for the many needy pets that enter into rescue.
