Rescue FAQs

Mid Florida Sheltie Rescue was founded by Barbara Davis and consists of a small group of volunteers who assist in the rehabilitation, fostering and placement of homeless Shetland Sheepdogs. Many of our Shelties are recovering from being neglected, abused or abandoned by people they loved. Our primary concern is placing each Sheltie into a loving, FOREVER home.
Our Shelties are owner surrenders also coming from the animal shelters. They are spay or neutered, brought up to date on their shots, checked for heart worm, treated if needed. Blood work and teeth are cleaned. We than foster them in our homes as if they were ours in order to learn their personalities and temperments in order to place them into their best matched forever home.

Additional adoption info

Application, vet reference, home visit required. Donations for each sheltie from 250.00-325.00
We do not adopt out of state.
