Dog World Rescue is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization that provides pet adoption in Virginia, Marland and Washington DC. We find homes for dogs rescued from high-kill shelters. Our Philosophy We are "dog-centric", we always operate in the best interest of our dogs. We ensure their well-being and safety in our care We provide quality care for our dogs while in our adoption program and follow-up support to our adoptive families We are committed to maintaining a manageable number of dogs in our adoption program to ensure proper health care and behavioral training We strive to partner with fellow rescues in order to aid in the placement of their dogs as well We pledge to treat all of our volunteers, adopters and partners with the atmost respect, patience and support
Dog World Rescue's mission is to find permanent loving and nurturing homes in the Mid-Atlantic Region for dogs. We support a pro-active spay and neuter program to reduce the number of homeless animals in shelters who thru no fault of their own would have been euthanized. We advocate for the humane treatment of all animals and provide educational resources for rehabiliting dogs. Most of all we encourage and support responsible pet ownership thru community support and education.

Additional adoption info

Dog World Rescue, Inc. requires an adoption application to be submitted. Once approved an adoption contract is completed and an adoption fee is collected. We are an all volunteer rescue. Our adoption fee is paid directly to the vet's office to help us with the dog's medical bills.
