The Humane Society of Johnson County is located in the State of Indiana. The Humane Society of Johnson County benefits companion animals and the community by enhancing the companion animal - human bond, facilitating adoptions, supporting spay/neuter programs and educating the pubic on the importance of responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals.
We are a foster based program serving Johnson County, State of Indiana. We accept strays, owner surrenders and we accept animals from Johnson County Animal Control. We place animals in permanent homes primarily in the State of Indiana but under certain circumstances outside the State of Indiana.

Additional adoption info

The first step is to complete an application and meet with our Animal Manager. Once a person has been approved for adoption they are asked to sign an adoption contract. The Humane Society of Johnson County’s adoption fees are:

Dogs & Puppies
$150.00 to $300.00

Kittens & Cats
$80.00 Adults
$110 Kittens

All animals are health checked, tested for FIV/FELV or heart-worms, spayed or neutered, vaccinated (appropriate for age), dewormed and micro-chipped.
