Areas All They Need is Love Animal Rescue serves

All They Need is Love was founded by Emily Richardson and Cari Pedersen in October of 2010. We are based in the South Jersey area. Our mission is to pull dogs from local shelters that otherwise would have been euthanized. We believe that with a little bit of love, any animal can be saved. All individuals involved with this rescue are volunteers who do this for the sole purpose of finding these dogs great homes. We are not a shelter so all of our animals are in foster care. We hope to one day grow and start a sanctuary so that we can save even more lives.

This rescue has many purposes. Our top priorities include raising awareness for animals in shelters, helping to educate people about puppy mills and pet stores, promoting Pit Bulls and other bully breeds as good dogs, and using training to keep dogs in their homes and out of shelters.

We do accept out of state adopters!

All They Need is Love is a New Jersey Non-Profit Corporation and has their 501(c)3 tax-exempt status.

Additional adoption info

In order to adopt one of our dogs, you will need to first fill out an adoption application. This allows us to get to know you, your family, and any current animals you may already have. We use your application and follow up phone call to determine which one of our dogs would best suit you.

If we do not have an animal that meets what you are looking for, let us know! We would be happy to point you in the right direction to other rescues and shelters who may have what you're looking for.

Once your application is approved, we will arrange for a home check and a sleepover. We feel that it is very important for adopters to take their potential animal on a sleepover, whether it's just for one night or for a few days, to make sure that that animal truly will be a good match. We'd much rather you realize the animal might not be the right one before you finalize the adoption.

We also require that dogs adopted under 2 years of age go through some type of training with their new owners within 6 months of adoption. We believe that a little bit of training will help strengthen the bond between owner and dog and also lessen the chance of a returned adoption.

For puppies under 6 months old, there is a $350 adoption fee. For dogs older than 6 months, there is a $300 adoption fee.

Please be aware that All They Need is Love Animal Rescue reserves the right to approve or deny any application for any reason. Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the animal you are interested in.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
