Rescue FAQs

Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit organization; obtained our 501(c)3 in 2011 - ID #27-0810495 Located in Anza, CA Kathy Haley had originally started as a rescue for abused and neglected large animals such as donkeys, llamas, alpacas, pigs, and more. At the time, she was also a volunteer at a dog rescue. After learning about the importance of rescue work, Kathy saw an opportunity to help by employing her own ideas about animal welfare, rescue and care taking the "whole animal," mind, body and spirit into consideration. A few years later, she met Lisa Ashe. Kathy and Lisa had so many ideas, dreams, and goals in common. They instantly clicked and that was when Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary, a non-profit organization, was born in 2011 and have been going strong since. At Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary, we are dedicated to taking in abused, neglected, and euthanasia listed animals that deserve a second chance and need us the most. All of our animals are: Spayed/Neutered Current on all vaccines Rabies Vaccinated Dewormed Micro-chipped (lifetime registered & paid) Received all proper medical care when needed (surgeries, dentals, medications, grooming, etc) While many of our animals are sanctuary or "permanent residents", we do have lots of adoptable pets who are patiently waiting for their forever homes. We are unique in the fact that our dogs do not live in kennels; instead they live with us in our home on about 5 acres of property located in Anza, CA or they are in foster homes in and around the Temecula, CA area. They have full access to our home and property and sleep inside with us at night. This ensures that our pets are well adjusted and perfectly suited to become a part of your family. Because the sanctuary is also our home, we do not have regular public visiting hours but we do have many visitors. We just have to arrange it to fit the schedule of our animals, ourselves, and you. For more information, please contact us
We primarily serve Southern California however, we do adopt across all of California and even out of state. We WILL NOT ship. For more information, please contact us: http://www.hoperanchanimalsanctuary.org/contact-us.html
