Rescue FAQs

We are a small, all-volunteer rescue group built solely on foster homes. All of our rescues live in our homes as pets until they are adopted. We are members of your community, with jobs and families like you, who share a common goal of helping as many dogs in need as we can. We work to help our rescue dogs become socialized and confident while they are with us. They receive the best vet care, and sometimes training for those who need work before being adopted out.
Our rescue is dedicated to saving dogs and puppies in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) / Augusta GA, which includes Columbia and Richmond & neighboring Counties in Georgia & South Carolina.

Additional adoption info

For all adoptions, our group requires a home-visit. The home-visit is to help us ensure the best match for the dog and adoptive family. In most cases our foster dogs will require a fenced yard; there are some exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Our dogs are fostered in our homes as a family pet, no 'yard dogs'.

Our adoption fee is $90 which helps to cover spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella, microchip and heartworm tested negative (maintained on monthly heartworm and flea prevention) for each of our rescue dogs.

Please go to columbaicountyanimalrescue.com or email ccarescue@gmail.com for an adoption application.

Paypal donations can be made at https://www.paypal.me/ccarescue. If you would like to make a donation of physical goods, please email us at ccarescue@gmail.com to coordinate. Thank you!
