Rescue FAQs

New Horizon Dog Rescue pulls animals from high-kill shelters, those that are scheduled for euthanization, those that otherwise had no chance. The animals are immediately veterinarian examined. The animals are further tested for heartworm, administered the necessary vaccines and are spayed/neutered when applicable. We are volunteers who devote to the ultimate goal: placing the animals in responsible, loving homes, where they have always been meant to be.
Florida counties to include, but not exclusive to: Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Citrus, Manatee, Sarasota and Polk.

Additional adoption info

A preliminary phone interview. Verification from condo or apartment of breed and/or weight restrictions. Adopter must commit to provide heartworm prevention monthly. Adopted animals must be consistently provided only high quality foods.
