Shelter FAQs

Granville County Animal Management provides shelter for stray and unwanted animals and provides proper living conditions, sanitation, nourishment and basic healthcare while making every attempt to reunite with owners or re-home.
We are a small, Government run facility in Oxford, NC who serves Granville County, Butner, Creedmoor, Stem, Oxford and Stovall.

Please visit our Animal Shelter any time during operating hours and ask about our adoptable animals! Contact us at 919-693-6749 with any questions or concerns.

Adoption Fee for Dogs and Cats- $50
- The adoption fee includes Parvo/Distemper vaccine, Rabies vaccine (if animal is old enough) and Deworming.

Our Adoption Contract requires the adopter to:
- Take animal to a vet within 10 days of adoption for a wellness visit
- Have animal Spay/Neutered and Microchipped within 3 weeks of adoption (or by 6 months of age if puppy or kitten is adopted)

501C3- NonProfit Rescue Pull Fees:
$15 per animal ($50 maximum)
$15 per litter
$15 nursing mother with litter
