Shelter FAQs

Stray Animal Midway Shelter (SAMS) was incorporated in 2010 with our focus being spay neuter assistance. In Noovember of 2013 SAMS purchased property and now operates as a no-kill shelter in Peoria County. We work closely with local and surrounding county shelters and obtain healthy and adoptable pets that would otherwise be euthanized for lack of space. SAMS receives no funding from government, state, county or municiple entities and are funded solelyby fundraising and donations. You can help by volunteering, adopting and donating to our cause.
Stray Animal Midway Shelter (SAMS) is located in Hanna City, Illinois. We work closely with several animal control organizations and obtain pets that might otherwise be euthanized for lack of space, with our focus being Peoria and surrounding counties.

Additional adoption info

Dogs $150-200
Cats $75-100
