Areas Precious Paws Humane Society of Chisholm Serves

We have contracts with the towns of Nashwauk, MN; Keewatin, MN; and Chisholm, MN. Every stray, lost, or seized animal in these towns is brought to our facility to be cared for by our volunteers.

Precious Paws Humane Society of Chisholm's Adoption Process

1. Submit Application

Provide 2 references, neither of which can be friends or family. A vet reference is preferred. We also do a background check .

2. Approve Application

Once you are approved to adopt, we'll help you find a suitable animal.

3. Pay Fee

If you find a suitable pet, you pay our fee and take it home when it's ready.

Our adoption fees for cats/kittens are $109 and dogs/puppies are $250. We ask for references from potential adopters and we have an application that must be filled out so that you can be approved. You must also pass a background check before we'll proceed with any adoption. Once approved, you will be ready to adopt and fill out our final paperwork. If you rent a home or live in an apartment, we need consent from your landlord before the pet leaves our facility. The adoption fee must be paid in full before the animal leaves us.

Our facility hours are Monday, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Tuesdays through Saturdays, noon to 4:00 p.m.
