Adoption Procedure
1.We suggest bringing the entire family (including canine members) to the shelter to meet potential new family members.
2.Your family will be given quality time to get to know and bond with potential new family members.
3.During this time, our adoption volunteers will be eager to answer any questions you may have about bringing a new pet into your home.
4.Volunteers will informally interview the family through conversations and a questionnaire in effort to ensure a good home for our animals.
5.After the interview phase, an adoption contract is signed by the adopters and an AAF adoption volunteer you may then take home your new family member.
6.People currently living in rental property must bring a copy of their lease agreement prior to adopting an animal.

Tuesday - Friday 4:00-7:00 p.m. and
Saturday and Sunday 1:00-4:00 p.m.
or by appointment during the week
Adoption Fees:
$135.00- Most Dogs
$150.00- Puppies under 5 months old
$60.00 if the dog has been at the shelter >100 days
$85.00 Kittens
$60.00- Cats and kittens over 5 months old

The Animal Adoption Foundation is a non-profit no-kill shelter for dogs and cats that have been abused or abandoned. AAF provides a safe and humane environment for dogs and cats that are waiting to be adopted. What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
