Rescue FAQs
Sparkle Cat Rescue is incorporated in the State of North Carolina as a nonprofit, with our 501c3 in process. All Sparkle kitties receive lots of TLC and socialization to prepare them for their forever homes! We are 100% volunteer, experienced volunteers/fosters who provide loving homes and lots of socialization for our rescued kitties.
Each SCR kitty is combo tested immediately when they arrive in our program and vaccinated (rabies and FVRCP) if age appropriate.

Sparkle Cat Rescue Is an all-volunteer 501c3 nonprofit feline rescue group in Burlington, NC.
We are not a shelter or sanctuary. All cats are in private foster homes waiting to be adopted.
We require a completed and approved application to schedule a meet & greet.

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- submit an online application at www.sparklecatrescue.org
we do not do same day adoptions.
- Interview
- once your application has been reviewed and approved, our adoption coordinator may contact you.
- Meet the Pet
- A meet n greet will be set up at a foster home (OR virtually) after adoption application is approved.
Additional adoption info
All of our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated as part of the adoption fee.
If you see a cat you would like to adopt, please complete an adoption application interest form and we will set up a meet 'n' greet.
Our application requires 2 non-related references, vet references (we do check), current and past pets you have owned.
We do not do same-day adoptions. All applicants are fully screened (vet references, etc.) to ensure our fur babies go to awesome forever homes!
