Rescue FAQs

I began my life in cat rescue in 2018 after seeing a feral colony spiral out of control. The cats were inbreeding, and everywhere I looked, kittens were dying. It was heartbreaking and I felt helpless. I reached out to every resource I could find, but they all had waiting lists a year long. Thankfully, my dog groomer at the time told me The Mighty Mouser Program. I bought a few traps and got to work.

As I started trapping those cats, I shared what I was doing online and quickly realized this is a very common issue in the area. The response was overwhelming. So many people reached out! It broke my heart to see so many animals suffering. I began trapping for others who contacted me, and I never looked back. I had found my purpose, a way to make a difference doing something I love which is helping animals.

Starting in September 2024, I’ve shifted my focus to fostering special needs cats (and sometimes small dogs). I’ll still try to help "normal" pets when I can, but my priority will be animals who are often overlooked or euthanized simply because they have disabilities. These pets deserve a chance at a happy life, and I want to give it to them.

I also want to continue helping reduce the feral cat population. The situation is worse than most people realize, so many animals are suffering simply because of humans being irresponsible. I’m determined to "leave this place a little better than I found it".
I TNVR only in Orange County, NC but I will accept special needs cats from anywhere in the States and adopt out to anywhere in the states, transport is available. If you need help with feral cats in Alamance County I have traps available to loan out.
