Rescue FAQs
Barely Used Pets is not your typical "Shelter" or "Rescue". Our Environment offers a free roaming society where the dogs are not kenneled all day but are able to socialize and run freely within a confined, fenced area. Our residents are able to roam inside and outside as weather permits. All of our dogs are socialized and assessed on a daily basis. This environment aids in the transition from Shelter to Home when the dog(s) are adopted. Each dog is kenneled at night with a group of matched dogs, each kennel has a dog house cots and toys. When a potential adopter visits he/she can she how each dog interacts with other dogs both larger and smaller as well as how a dog responds to meeting new people. Our adoption fee is $140. The fee includes spay/neuter and current vaccines. We have a 1-page application form and a contract for you to sign.
