We are a new rescue but with years of experience in dog rescue. New2U rescue is in the process of obtaining a 501c3 so that any donations will be tax deductible. At this time we only rescue and adopt out dogs. We are no kill and foster based - all rescues are in foster homes not a shelter.

All our dogs are vetted prior to adoption and we try to ensure the health of all dogs prior to placement. We do require reference check and home visit prior to any adoption to ensure the best match possible. Large breed, high energy dogs will require a fenced in yard but that is not required for our smaller dogs. We place dogs in the greater Rochester, NY area only at this time.
Vetting includes (but is not limited to):
spay/neuter
microchip
age appropriate vaccinations
health exam
Adoption fees:
puppies (up to 1 yr) $275 to $350
Adults 1 to 6 yrs $250
Adults 6 to 9 yrs $200
Seniors over 9 yrs $150 to $175

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
