Rescue FAQs

I have many (since 2000) years of volunteering at different shelters and with various rescue organizations; coupled with fostering dogs throughout the years as well. I also helping with adopt-a-thons for shelters and then a year ago started doing my own adopt-a-thons for rescues and fosters I have in my home. This experience and love of dogs have brought me to the decision to create my own rescue, and to find homes for dogs through my rescue now. Although it is a new rescue the intention is to remain small and take time with people through discussion to find a good match of family to dog.
We serve the following cities Toronto, and the surroundings area. Peel /Halton, Durham counties We will go the distance for the right home though.
  • 1. Interview
  • 2. Submit Application
  • 3. Home Check
  • 4. Sign Adoption Contract

Additional adoption info

Once you have contacted us, we will ask a few question over the phone and then you will be sent a Pre-adoption form. The form is reviewed and then someone may contact you regarding your chosen dog to arrange a home visit. If we feel your home is the suitable place for this particular dog we will contact you to proceed with the adoption. The adoption process consists of foster to adopt,a 4 week trial period before adoption, to ensure a good match for both you and the dog.
It is not always possible to meet the dog before hand, due to lack of fosters available to us, the dog will go directly into your home upon it's arrival. However if we do have a dog in foster then we will make arrangements for the entire family to meet the dog. Adoption fees range from $450 -$650.
