Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society's Adoption Process

1. Submit Application

This may be done where the pet is located, please read Story it will list location or applications are on our website.

2. Approve Application

Owned a pet in the past, please list veterinarian pet went to.

3. Meet the Pet

Approved applicants will be asked to come to the shelter to meet the dog. (Cats/kittens are at other locations to visit)

4. Sign Adoption Contract

5. Pay Fee

6. Take the Pet Home

During COVID, we are asking people interested in a dog to fill out an application at our website, once approved we will watch for a dog for you. When we get in animal that might be what you are looking for we will contact you to set up an appointment to meet the pet.

$60 Adoption fee for cats. $100 for kittens. $150 Adoption fee for dogs. $200 for puppies. All potential adopters must complete our Adoption Application.

** Most cats/kittens are located at PetSmart in Utica, unless noted **

DURING COVID Our adoptable cats are located either at PetSmart Utica or PetCo in Roseville. You can visit them at the stores when they are open.

For Dogs we are asking people to fill out an application online to get approved. We will schedule a meet and greet of the dog after application approval.
