Meet beautiful May! This sweet feline was found living as a stray and when her rescuer (now foster) began providing food, it was discovered she was pregnant.
In the first few weeks, she was quite confused, but with patience and love, her gentler, playful nature began to shine through. After successfully delivering and raising her kittens, she is now ready for her furever home. She is friendly on her own terms. She is a bit of a gentle nipper, especially when she is hungry, so we think she would do best with adults and older children that understand how to interact with her. She is playful and enjoys chasing after anything attached to the end of a string. She also loves to lay on cardboard. May's new family must understand cats and have the patience while earning her trust. She is a wonderful cat who deserves a loving home. We think she would be happiest being your only pet and the center of your attention.

May is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and treated for parasites. Her adoption fee is $125. Do you have the purrfect home for this beautiful girl?

Interview

If your application is approved, one of our board members will contact you for a phone interview.

3.
Meet the Pet

During your phone interview, we will work on setting up a date/time for you to meet your new family member at the Petsmart in Troy.

Additional adoption info

* We do require adopters to be at least 21 years old.
* If you are leasing, we do ask that you provide a copy of your rental agreement showing that cats are allowed.
* We also ask that all adults living in the home agree with the adoption and addition of a feline friend to the family.
* For families with young children (under 6), kittens over 6 months are best.
* If the pet is to be alone for a significant amount of time, we ask that you consider adopting an older kitten or adult, or consider adopting two kittens to keep each other company. Young kittens are susceptible to social-depression if alone for a significant amount of time.
* We also discourage "gift" adoptions unless it is from a parent to a minor child.

Our adoption fee of $100 (cash/check) includes feline leukemia/FIV testing, deworming, flea preventative, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines. All Tigerlily cats are thoroughly examined by a veterinarian. All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered prior to being available for adoption.
