Yes, mutts can often be taught to live in harmony with cats and other pets. It all comes down to temperament and training. Shelters and rescues can often “cat test” dogs to determine if a dog will make nice with a cat. The earlier dogs are introduced to cats , the more likely they are to feel comfortable with feline friends.
