Teddy Bear’s Mama is a Corgi mix that weighs 17 pounds that was rescued by HART and found to be expecting, so on July 29 Teddy Bear and five brothers and sisters were born into the care of HART. Bear (I call him Bear since a foster brother’s name is Teddy) is the shortest of the litter, and he looks like a miniature Chocolate lab with very short legs. The short legs cause him to waddle when he walks. Bear weighed 7.2 pounds at 8 weeks old and it is estimated that he’ll be close to 20 pounds when fully grown. Both of his ears stand up now. Bear is a fun loving dog that loves to play and cuddle, he is very quit, sleeps through the night, and is STRONGLY food driven, he’ll do anything for a treat, he has to wear a collar after his neutering, so I put a treat on the forward side and Bear puts his head right into the collar, show him a treat and he runs into his crate. He is very laid back and entertains himself when left alone in the backyard. Bear has been around bigger dogs, a bit cautious at first, but warms up quickly, especially when he see his little sister Winnie approach them. We’re still working on his house training.
