Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Harper is a young male lab mix who was picked up by animal control and never claimed. His foster reports that he is a complete honey bee who loves to be loved. He has beautiful brindle markings on his legs, face, and ears, and long lanky legs that he's still growing into. Harper still has puppy energy but settles nicely when indoors. He is very curious and likes to explore and run with the other dogs. He also gets along with the cats but is a bit too interested in the resident guinea fowl so a bird free home would be best. Harper rides well in the car and is a good boy in the house but does have an affinity for shoes. He is crate trained and is doing well with housebreaking, no accidents when someone is home. He needs leash work and is learning to keep all four paws on the ground when greeting people. He has done well when meeting children at events but may knock little ones over. Harper will bark when he is first left alone. His foster is working with him on this and he is improving but this is something an adopter will need to be aware of and willing to continue to work on. Applications can be submitted at blackdogsandcompanyrescue.org. The adoption fee of $300 includes his neuter, vaccinations, and microchip. Home visit and references required.April 22, 2024, 8:33 pm
