My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a handsome man Mr. Max is! Being a 7 month old retriever mix, Max has a lot of energy and equal amounts of love. He is learning his manners in his foster home and doing great! He would do best in a home where he can get consistent exercise and training. Max's foster mom feels he would be happiest in a home with another dog that he can play with. His foster home friend is an active border collie mix that he great enjoys playing with. He is still learning how to properly interact with other dogs but is doing well and has not shown any signs of aggression. Max is very curious about cats but has interaction with his foster home's resident kitten. The kitten has batted him in the nose a few times and he has reacted with no signs of aggression but will chase him if he runs. The kitten seems to enjoy this game of cat and dog :) Max does very well with his foster home's resident children. He only interacts with them while supervised due to their ages. He is still a puppy and is very much still learning, however he seems to understand he needs to be calm around their 1 year old daughter. He enjoys playing with the active boys, ages 6 and 9. Max is a very sweet boy with a lot of love to give. He deserves a wonderful family who will give him a lot of love in return. Max is scheduled to be neutered and will be prior to adoption. He is up to date on all vaccinations and on monthly preventatives. When Max was rescued, he tested positive for Lyme Disease and is currently being treated. He is doing great and will finish his course of treatment prior to adoption.April 22, 2024, 8:33 pm
