Meet Gemma, a super sweet, affectionate dog who will make a terrific pet for a family or active single/couple. As a young dog, Gemma likes to play, but will be calm when you ask her to. She is a very social pup; she loves people and other dogs (she hasn't been tested with cats), is good with small children who are gentle, and is an all-around fun li'l lovebug.

She is very smart and learns quickly, really enjoys being outside (her tail wags constantly when she's out on walks!) and loves to cuddle up with family members when she's inside. Gemma really lives up to her name, and is going to make a "gem" of a pet for some lucky family. Could it be yours?

If you are interested in adopting Gemma please email sln2310@yahoo.com and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.

If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.

Gemma's adoption donation is $350 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heart worm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
