My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chocolate, a gorgeous well-natured boy that was rescued from a rural shelter where he sat for some time waiting to be adopted or more likely rescued as there is not much foot traffic for adoptions at the rural shelter. Chocolate is an extremely handsome 3-4yr. old boy who LOVES to chase a ball and play fetch. Chocolate also loves to swim and enjoys the water as a true lab does. Chocolate is extremely strong and is learning not to tug on a leash when he sees a cat on his walks. We are pretty sure he does NOT like cats so safe to say a home without a cat(s) would be best. He would be an ideal family companion for active people or a person who enjoy going on walks and hikes. Chocolate is GREAT with ALL dogs he meets and is a lot more interested in chasing his tennis ball. He is also fantastic with his 3yr. old human person he shares a home with currently and will play roll the ball back and forth as the 3yr. old toddler sits there, Chocolate is extremely gentle with him. He does sit on command and he is learning to take treats gently as he needs some work with that. He does well at feeding time and is NOT aggressive at all with his food either with other dogs, OR people. Skipper sleeps well throughout the night. Chocolate is housetrained and knows how to use a doggie door. We will be trying to place Chocolate along with his sister Ginger, but if necessary they can be adopted out separately. If you are interested in Chocolate and would like an adoption application, please contact soniaramirez_2000@yahoo.com or call/text 626-991-0398. Chocolate's adoption fee is $350. If adopting both Skipper and Ginger their adoption fee will be reduced.
