My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JEMA
Born May 14, 2014, Female, Tabby DSH

COURTESY POST: Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Jema and her best friend, handsome Opi,were adopted 4 days apart. They were supposed to be playmates to a 1 year old Bengal boy and a Savannah kitty (the “wild kitties”). Jema was described as a follower and that she would be fine with these wild kitties. Well, kitties have their own opinions of which other feline breed they feel comfortable and compatible with, and unfortunately this combination is not working out at all. Sweet little Jema is in hiding unless the wild kitties are outside in their enclosure.

Jema is a love bug when she is with her boyfriend Opi, or when she and her trusted human(s) are together. Typically she is a shy girl. Jema and her sister were rescued somewhere in San Jose, where brought to the shelter, and her foster mom rescued them from the shelter the day they were going to put them down. Jema was supposed to be adopted with her sister but somebody didn’t know that and sent her sister off without her. Poor little girl has been abandoned one time after another.

She is so very sweet, purrs, head-butts and even chirps at the birds. She loves to play, and chasing springs is one of her favorites. It is delightful to see Jema and Opi chase each other around the house.

She loves to play with plastic springs. If you throw them high, she will jump and catch them, but you should have lots on hand because she will take them and hide them so she can play with them when nobody is watching. Jema prefers being indoors, though at her current home she does have access to an enclosed outside patio.

She is a healthy, sweet little kitty girl and would love nothing more than to find a forever home with her BFF, the handsome Opi.

If you would like more information about this sweet girl, please contact Frauke at 925-784-8244 or loveallcats7@gmail.com or send an Adoption Application.
Please note that Jema is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with her current owner in San Jose, CA while being placed in her new home.
